  • What types of services do you offer?

I specialize in integrative somatic therapies and holistic wellness - both which are rooted in the understanding of the mindbody connection.

How is a somatic approach different from other therapeutic approaches or modalities?

Somatic approaches modalities are centered around the connection between mind (psychology), body (physiology), being (core self or soul), and their impact on our vitality.

Soma translates to the living body in it’s wholeness. A somatic approach goes deeper than our intellectual and cognitive understanding of our symptoms or experiences to uncover the deeper insights and information held within our body and being that are often ignored, overlooked, dismissed, or misunderstood.

Intentionally incorporating our somatic experience into our growth and healing process allows us to get to and work with the deeper root causes and dynamics of our struggles, stressors, challenges, and symptoms for improved wellbeing.

  • I work with individuals and couples who feel they are stuck, struggling, or suffering in their day to day in some meaningful way - physically, mentally, emotionally, personally or relationally.

May of my clients are accomplished and seemingly have it all together but have a deeper ache, unease, yearning, or despair that they can’t ignore or have yet to get to the root of it.

Many have tried to address these challenges but have yet to experience lasting shifts or change.

They are motivated to commit to their own wellbeing, create meaningful change, and experience more vitality in their lives.

  • Physical

    • Somatic therapy supports injury and chronic pain recovery by addressing the nervous system and the body’s movement patterns, not just symptoms. For joint restrictions, muscle injuries, whiplash, and repetitive strain, somatic approaches gently re-educate movement, release guarded tension, and restore more efficient alignment so tissues can heal with less strain. By tracking bodily sensations and calming nervous system reactivity, somatic therapy approaches combines with therapeutic movement reduces pain amplification, improves range of motion, and helps break cycles of protective bracing that perpetuate dysfunction. Combined with hands-on bodywork, movement retraining, functional training and practical self-care tools, this approach fosters safer, more sustainable recovery and greater confidence in moving the body again.

    Psychophysiological

    • Physical stress and trauma often show up in the body as persistent aches, unexplained pain, chronic pain or fatigue, migraines, and disrupted sleep patterns; these physical symptoms can be expressions of unresolved emotional imbalance or processing rather than purely muscular or medical issues. Somatic therapy gently brings awareness to sensations, tension patterns, and breath, helping people release held stress, regulate nervous system responses, and restore comfort, ease, and relaxation within the physical body. With guided tools and practices, clients can learn to decode what their bodies are signaling, reduce pain and tension rooted in stress, and rebuild healthier sleep and energy rhythms.

    Relational

    • Somatic therapy can help with relational challenges like chronic mistrust, difficulty with intimacy, frequent misunderstandings or conflict, and emotional distance that feel lodged in the body rather than only the mind. It supports people who notice repeated patterns—such as automatic withdrawal, people-pleasing, clinginess, or explosive reactions—by helping them recognize how past relational wounds are being activated in the present. Through embodied awareness and regulated nervous system work, clients often gain greater capacity for safe connection, effective communication boundaries, deeper intimacy, and more responsive, attuned interactions with partners, family, and friends.

    • Somatic therapy supports parenting challenges by helping caregivers recognize and regulate the bodily sensations that drive stress, reactivity, and shutdown, so they can respond to their children from presence rather than impulse. By learning simple, embodied practices—breath awareness, grounding, and movement—parents access greater emotional regulation, clearer boundaries, and increased patience. This shift reduces the cycle of automatic reactions rooted in old survival patterns, strengthens attunement and co-regulation with their children, and creates more consistent, compassionate parenting that models presence and resilience.

    Personal

    • Somatic therapy supports personal growth and self-realization by helping you reconnect with your body’s wisdom, release held tension and trauma, and integrate emotional insights into everyday life. By bringing mindful attention to your inner world, it uncovers unconscious patterns that limit choices and self-understanding, allowing new, embodied insights and agency to emerge. This process cultivates greater self-compassion, resilience, and clarity, so change isn’t simply intellectual but experienced and sustained from the inside out.
